This is one of the greatest resources around. Since there are other ways to customize your profile; using journal skins as featured deviations gives you more possibilities. And with this in our one hand, using the information here to create links to widgets allows us to create perfect navigation on long profile pages with lots of widgets and information. So this tutorial is simply gold.

The design of the tutorials are also very important. When they are pleasing to eye, it is more enjoyable to read them. Background color and the blueish color used for "highlighted" text looks pretty together, and makes the reading more comfortable. Text-image balance is very well done. If one those elements overwhelm the tutorial, it becomes a torture trying to hunt down the information you need. The clean and clear style is so good.

Over all, this is one of the most elegant presentation of one of the most useful information. What is left to us is to thank you...

I'm having trouble getting the font that I want.
I use Google Fonts. I've tried copying the code exactly,
as well as changing the punctuation, to no avail.
I've gone through the tutorials as well, and haven't been able to
figure it out.

font-family: 'Kaushan Script', cursive;

<link href='fonts.googleapis.com/css?famil…|Berkshire+Swash' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

That should be it. :confused: I know dA group journals have a weird thing with previewing incorrectly, so try saving/publishing the journal and seeing what it looks like then.

Lol I finally got it working. If you have any information on how
I might improve the directory on FriendHunt 's homepage, however,
please let me know! It's not long enough :P

Are you trying to make the fancy CSS profile directory? If so, I'm going to need the journal you are using to create those to see what's up with your code.

no, i am really just trying to box you have on your front page, without the hovering titles and such, and i will get back to you with the code, things got a bit hectic on my end, my apologies ^^; :ashamed:

Grammy I gots a problemos! :iconlegaspplz:

There are too many .div id="#"> codes! They aren't even numbers.

.div id="depths">
.div id="dp_swf_engine" style(I know it's not included but, naeh)="position: adsolute; width: 1px; height: 1px;">
.div id="_tbSetup">
.div id="overhead-collect">
.div id="output">

And just replace the . with a < because it changed the codes into some weird mumbo jumbo.

I'm using Google Chrome :aww: and those codes aren't in the same lines :)

Thanks so much for this tutorial! :huggle: But how do i include it into the "normal curvy button" code by cypervisor? ( cyphervisor.deviantart.com/art… ) That doesn´t work, when i just copy the code into the position he calls the place for the "URL"

In the place where he puts URL, you should put either #00000000 or a link to another page. :)

Is this possible with a comments area?  There isn't a dev id number but rather div id="gmi-GMFrame_Gruser"

Should be possible. Never tried it myself, but as long as it has a unique id, it should work. :)

Do you mean like my gallery directory on my profile that has images that pop up upon hover?

The image upon hover is what I've been seeking! I was attempting cyphervisors idea with the journal but the roll over css wasn't explained behind the buttons; and I've been looking for hours for a tutorial.
I've seen this directory here and there on DA and it's so pretty to me. Is there any way to get some advice?
Thank you for your precious time in advance!

I am still too silly to add those arrows...I just want some stars when I go with cursor over it ;__;

Ahh, we never did get that cleared up, did we?

Find the html code for a star, and then after the text for each button, add the html code for star surrounded by <span>

For example, if your button is called Gallery, then change your code to:

Gallery <span>(Put HTML code for star)</span>

Then in the CSS, add:

span{display:none;}

Then use whatever class you used for the button (ex: .button) and add:

.button span:hover{display:inline;}

Those are done with CSS styling. If you have some experience with CSS, you can try the template that =Gasara has in her gallery. :D
